My Significant Other

Tera tagged me to disclose some information about my significant other. (But I think it's because I haven't updated my blog in FOREVER)

His name: Trevor R. (I'm not sure he wants people to know his middle name) Strupp

How long have you been married?: a little over 7 years.

How long did you date?: 4 months before we got engaged, then another 3 months before we got married. However--for those of you who aren't used to the fast dating/marriage--I knew him for a year before we got married :)

How old is he: 30, but he does have a birthday coming up in about 3 weeks...

Who eats more? I don't know. I think he definitely does, but if he were left to himself to fix his own food, I don't know how he would ever get fed.

Who said "I love you" first? That would be me. I know, I know. But he hinted at it way before me, so I justify that it was OK I took the big plunge first.

Who is taller? Trevor at 6'2"

Who sings better? I think Trevor, but I'm not really sure because you rarely hear the man sing. He'll sing in church, but only loud enough so no one else but him can hear. Once in awhile I'll catch him singing in the car to the radio. I try not to draw attention to that though because if he thinks I noticed, he'll stop. And I think it's really sexy (if someone who's been married 7 years can use that word without sounding newly-weddish.)

Who is smarter? I think I used to be, but then I think having kids does something to your brain. Either that or I just haven't used it for anything intellectual so I have a second grade vocabulary. (Do 2nd graders use the word "intellectual"?)

Whose temper is worse? I was afraid I might have to answer this someday. His is worse, but when he gets mad (it takes a LOT) mine flairs right up too. A good combination, I know. I've learned to stay away from hot topics.

Who does the laundry? Please, why would they really ask this question? Does anyones husband REALLY do the laundry? And when can I make an appointment for him to come and talk to my husband? Just kidding. I do, but that's because I stay home and I am a homemaker. It's kind of what I signed up for.

Who does the dishes? See question above.

Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? I do.

Who pays the bills? I do.

Who mows the lawn? Trevor. That's where my homemaking job description ends.

Who cooks dinner? Usually me. But Trevor does know his way around pasta.

Who drives when you are together? Trevor.

Who is more stubborn? Trevor

Who is the first to admit when they are wrong? Always me. But it may be because I am wrong most of the time :)

Whose parents do you see the most? Trevor's, but he'll contest that answer. It's really no contest--we DEFINITELY see his parents way more.

Who proposed? He did.

Who has more friends? I don't know, and I couldn't really count either. He's kind of a home body I guess you could say, but he has a lot of friends. I'd say we're pretty equal.

Who has more siblings? Me. 5 sisters, 4 Brothers. Trevor has 2 sisters and 2 brothers.

Who wears the pants in the family? Trevor

I now tag Maggie Judi (I just love hearing about how we're so much alike :) )

So mike has totally forbidden me to write about him on my blog. He is so intensely private you know. I put a picture of him on my blog the other day with avery and he was all bothered about it. He is so funny, you'd think someone so good looking would want to flaunt it a little! Actually reading your answers was hilarious because most of mine would be exactly the same. It is crazy how much they are alike. I enjoyed reading yours and thanks for the tag, but uh..... you know.

My husband totally does laundry. He's pretty picky about it so I just made it his job.
