Helping with the shed

Here's Ashley helping dad with the shed. He built us a shed in the backyard. I know, the picture has a date on it. He actually worked on the shed on Christmas day--the man's a workaholic. Not really, he just wanted to get the roof done before it was supposed to rain.

Ashley's really the crazy one in the family. She can climb up the ladder all by herself--her legs can barely reach the next step. We always have to watch her because she's running around finding stuff to climb on or get into...like a normal little kid, I guess. I just have never had one, the other two are always so careful, or at least they know that they might get hurt.

IT'S CHRISTMAS!!

Of course, we do like the kids to know what Christmas is really about, and not get so caught up in the presents. But I also like seeing their faces light up--so I'm sharing a couple of pictures of Christmas morning...

Tyler's favorite present was "Final Countdown", which is really a Nintendo Wii Olympic Games videogame. He calls it Final Countdown because that's the song they play on the commercial. Yes, we have a Wii. I know--I'm not much of a videogame person, and I think it can get out of hand for those kids that play all day long. But after I played one...it was so much fun! A couple weeks later I bid on one on ebay. (I REALLY didn't think I would get it, but I did) So now we have a Wii...And it's a lot of fun.

Hailey's favorite present was a tea set. Hooray for Wal-mart, I mean Santa Claus. And what little girl doesn't need a tea set? Actually, I think all her presents were favorites, but she was smiling in this picture :)

Ashley's favorites were all of Hailey's. She just thinks Hailey is cool, I guess, so she played with all of Hailey's. She had a few presents of her own she liked, too.

So much fun to enjoy Christmas through your kids eyes!

Gingerbread Fun

The kids made gingerbread cookies one day (actually it was after Christmas, but we got a kit FOR Christmas) They had a LOT of fun throwing candy at each other. They decorated a little bit too. And of course, when mom hears them throwing candy all the fun stops and they have to pick it up. :)

Christmas Lights

We went to see some Christmas lights in Chickasha with the Woods, the Waites, and the Asmus's . The kids had a lot of fun running around and switching places in the stroller all night. Afterward we met at the cars and had some hot chocolate and treats. I love the Christmas season and all the things to do with family and friends!

Oh yeah, and for the previous post--I realized some people may not know the story of our house :) We bought a reposessed house that was TRASHED--but only cosmetically. So, Trevor and I figured we could buy a bigger house inexpensively and then do some remodeling. It's a good thing Trevor thinks it's fun to do all this stuff, and he's so handy! :)

These are some pictures of our house. Each view will have a "before" picture followed with an "after"--there are still several "in progrss" projects.

It takes me awhile to get my posts caught up--Here are a few pictures of Thanksgiving (we went to my sister's house in Texas) and Hailey's birthday (Nov. 30) She sure does love her birthday--the presents, the attention...

Who I'm tagging:
-Sumar Peake
-Jennifer Stringham

Now Tera's:

7 interesting things about me:

1. I really like to give massages. I know that sounds weird--you would think I would make my husband really happy because I like to give massages. Well, wouldn't you know it--I've married the one man on this earth who doesn't like them. He genuinely does NOT like massages. He even got a gift certificate for a free massage and didn't want to use it, so he gave it to me.

2. I love fantasy football. It's so much fun! I've had fantasy teams now for 4 or 5 years now and I love it. I currently am in three different leagues. It's a blast and it makes watching football that much more fun (as if it needed help).

3. My husband and I were visiting Europe at the exact same time before we met (six months before we met)

4. I don't like to shop. I think it's boring. When I go to the mall for too long I start to yawn...a lot. If I need something, I like to get in and get out. Although--I just started having a new found appreciation for new clothes. I don't have many, but I've found myself liking to buy new clothes for myself. This is a change from even last year. We'll see, maybe when we can afford it, I'll become a shopaholic.
Just kidding.

5. I have a shotgun. My very own. I love it. It's really fun to shoot clay pigeons, and actually it's pretty fun to go pheasant hunting. Now, I would've thought before I went that it would make me feel bad shooting a pheasant. Nope. Felt just fine about it...all five of them.

6. I don't like long movies. I think I have adult ADD or something. I can sit through Lord of the Rings once, but I will start to figit and shift in my seat at about the middle (in a movie theatre--at home it doesn't even stand a chance). And don't ever ask me to do it again. Such torture. Anything over about 2 hours is too long.

7. I like to stay up late at night--I don't though, because I like more to go to bed when my husband does. And he's an "early to bed" kind of guy. This is good, because when he's gone for some training or something and I'm by myself, I don't get any sleep. I stay up late doing odds and ends, then the kids wake up so early...

Again, I tag:
Sumar Peake
Jennifer Stringham

I don't know too many people who have blogs, so...sorry Sumar and Jen. Have a good time!

They love to dance!

I was laughing so hard at their dancing, I had to grab the camera and film some of the fun!

Halloween Time!

The kids had such a good time going trick or treating around the neighborhood. Hailey was a little obsessed with the Grim Reaper lawn ornament across the street. (They also had one at the commisary that she always wanted to visit).
Tyler was a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle.
Hailey was Snow White.
Ashley was a chicken.

Tyler broke his leg!

Tyler had his first broken bone--it happened September 30th, right after his first soccer game. He was jumping off the couch, showing me tricks. One time while jumping and spinning in the air, he landed wrong and we both heard it break. What an awful sound!
He was really brave though, cried only a little and then stopped before we even got to the car to go to the E.R.
They put him in a splint (bath picture above), then got a full leg cast a couple days later at the orthopedic surgeons. He was in a full leg cast for 6 weeks, and he just barely got a walking cast last week (that he WILL NOT walk on).

Skydiving

For our anniversary last year, I got Trevor a gift certificate to go skydiving. Of course, I got myself one too, so I could join in the fun.
We had a BLAST. I knew it would be fun, but I thought it would be something we would do to say we've done it--but it's addicting! We definitely want to go again soon.
We went for the first time on September 1, 2007.
